It has been said that most people in society live a daily life of quiet desperation. I firmly believe this condition exists due to not having God's love and security and purpose in their lives. That said, for many who do enjoy the promise of eternal security, they too muddle with day-to-day muted distress. I believe that is due to a certain neglect. A life lived without focused reflection, assessment, correction, and sustained improvement, while serving others, is a life progressively rendered less than meaningful or satisfying.
